Christmas 2016

Each Key Stage 2 class led an Advent Liturgy for the school and visitors. On the last day of term, Year 6 led a Carol Service and the choir supported them, singing 'On a Starry Night'. They also performed a liturgical dance, beautifully interpreting the carol, 'O what a Glorious Night'.

The children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 performed 'Busy, Busy Bethlehem' to delighted audiences. Afterwards, the narrators collected for 'Norah's North Pole' which helps people who aren't as lucky as us. Nearly £200 was collected! Thank you!

The Big Sing

We had lots of fun spending money at the Sharing Fair! Our families and parishioners joined us at the end of the afternoon. An amazing £686 was spent!

Our choir have been out and about singing carols at local care homes. They've been to Palmersdene, Needham Court, Windsor Nursing Home and St. Clare's Hospice.

As an alternative to sending Christmas cards, we had a Jolly Jumper Day to support St Clare's Hospice. Mrs Rooney took two children to St Clare's for the launch of the appeal. We had a visit from Buddy Bear on Jolly Jumper day. We collected an amazing £230.72. What a fantastic way to celebrate Christmas, thinking of others!

The Key Project: During our 'Cool to be Kind Week', we collected food items to support people in need. We were overwhelmed by the generosity shown!

Christmas Book Bank : Our school donated two books from each class to share the Christmas Story with children in Newcastle and Kenya.
