Jolly Jumper Day

Christmas Mosaics helped by our Year 6 friends!

We went to church and Father Adrian showed us the font and told us all about baptism.

We had great fun with Rob Lewis, an author and illustrator, who entertained us! He told us a really exciting story about piranhas, crocodiles, snakes, swamps and a gorilla! Then he showed us how to sketch sheep and how to create an amazing painting using a candle, a hair dryer and a toothbrush! Ask the children and they'll tell you all about it.

Reading is Fun in Year 2!

The children learned how to keep safe online. They met 'The Gamer' and they now know that you never tell anyone your personal information. So you can't tell anyone your name, address, age, school name or the town where you live. Then they met 'Super Freda' who was controlled by Polly. 'Super Freda' was worried when Polly lost her password. Someone else might have used it and made 'Super Freda' do bad things. So always look after your passwords and don't tell anyone what they are!

Year 2 have been learning to write instructions. They know that to do well you need: • Bossy verbs • Time connectives. They made a chocolate spread sandwich, milkshake and, with the help of Mrs Fallon, a cheese and tomato pizza! They wrote instructions for all of these. You can see from the photos that they had a fantastic time!
