Flying Kites

As part of our Design and Technology topic, we designed and made our own kites. We then went outside to see how well they flew before we evaluated what went well and what could be improved.

Christmas Mosaics Workshop

On Monday, Rob Lewis came into our school to do a demonstration session with Year 2 and Year 3. We had great fun. He told us a brilliant story about gorillas and crocodiles. It made us jump with fright and laugh out loud! Next, he told us how he gets ideas for his stories and how he paints the pictures for his books.

We were really shocked when he used a toothbrush and a candle to help with his painting. His picture was brilliant! We are going to practise really hard so we can learn to paint just like him!

Year 3 were Visited by Konflux

Konflux visited us to help us put on a 'Play in a Day'. We worked really hard all day to learn our lines. Everyone had a special part to play.

Year 3 won the Mathletics Trophy!

Year 3 had great fun in their most recent Science Lesson.
We have been learning all about the importance of a skeleton to keep us strong and healthy. Mrs Jeffrey set us the challenge of towering marshmallows using only water to help us. It was really tricky. After a while, she gave us some cocktail sticks to make a secure structure. It was much easier to make a tall tower from the marshmallows. We can see now why our skeleton is so important and the role it plays.

Year 3 enjoyed Observational Drawing

Y3 had fun working with Zoolab!
